The Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation

There is a foundation that exists today in memory of Salvador Dali. This is the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation. If you know much about Dali, you will know that Gala was his wife and his source of inspiration.

The Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation started in 1983 whose objective is to protect the interests of Spanish painters – including but not limited to promotion of works, intellectual property to works of art, and the recognition of his genius in his artworks.

It was instituted and led by Dali himself when he was still alive.

Today, the foundation continues to help the following areas flourish:

The logo that has been used to represent the foundation was designed by Dali himself. Much like many of his works, it serves as a symbolism. It symbolized his nautical journeys with his wife Gala in Portliggat.
